A day at the Harbour

Shellhabour Village by the harbour is the most intimate part of Shellharbour City. On the picturesque ocean shores the village gently slopes down to the parkland areas around the peaceful fishing harbour.

Many new businesses have popped up recently all with one thing in common to cater to the cosmopolitan style recreational needs of visitors and community members. Once you park your car there is plenty to do for a few hours, a day or a week. There is a great variety of restaurants and cafes in the village offering extensive menus. Mostly modern Australian with mediteranian flair and lots of Australian courage in the kitchen.

You can choose from the cosy creativeness at Relish, the casual but classy Addisons which also has a fabulous reception area for weddings or conferences or the restaurant at the Ocean View Hotel overlooking the harbour, maybe a game of snooker after lunch. Fish and chips on the picnic rug in the park while the kids burn out in the play ground is good option too. Other attractions of the harbour village include shopping for your home or gifts at Portabello Road.

The village is also the gateway to Bass Point Reserve with its walking tracks, picnic areas, Aboriginal middens and Bushrangers Bay, a marine aquatic reserve, one of NSW's coasts renowned scuba diving and snorkeling locations. If you can't fit it all into one visit come back again.
