love Wollongong' - from prestige motor vehicles,
exquisite fashions,homewares, gifts, galleries, the
famous fish markets at the harbour and fabulous cafes for
that shoppers' break, the variety, quality and service
are first class. From major department stores to the
unique individual boutiques hidden away in alleyways and
arcades there is plenty of hunting to do.
The CBD shopping is centred around the city mall which is
well serviced with parking stations, public transport and
rest areas.
The two major department stores, Myers and David Jones,
are complemented by many speciality shops offering a wide
selection of goods and services.
Regional shopping centres are located at; Woonona,
Corrimal, Fairy Meadow, Figtree, Warrawaong and
Dapto.
Also many of the northern coastal villages are a great
destination for a few hours of retail therapy hunting for
that something special. For those who can't resist a
bargain, there's a whole variety of markets held in the
Wollongong region.
The Wollongong Produce and Creative Traders Market are
held every Friday in the Crown St Mall where the arts and
craft communities are well represented.
