THIRROUL, BULLI, TOWRADGI

towradgiTake a relaxed drive along the coast, enjoy the magnificent scenery and interesting places to stop on your way and prepare to hunt down a treasure or two. An abundance of treasures - old, new and antique - are waiting to be discovered in the beautiful Illawarra. Just where to go next. Its decisions, decisions all the way when looking for the top spots in the area north of Wollongong.

Thirroul is a quiet yet historic little village on a small coastal strip nudged between mountain rainforests and lapping blue green sea. Tucked snugly into a valley of Cabbage Palms, immediately north of Bulli Pass it had always been a desirable vacation venue for city and country folk and supported writers and poets in an area which inspired their talent and creativity and this lives on today.

The Annual Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival came into being through the vision and determination of Thirroul Village Committee who believe that their village has something special to share, not just with the immediate community but with the larger Illawarra Region and all who enjoy the treasures to be found through the area.

Now a popular day trip destination, Thirroul offers visitors an interesting and unique variety of entertainment and shops presenting locally created arts and sculptures. Bargain hunters will love Thirroul's second hand shops and antiques.
